Prize-giving 2021 Monday 13th DecemberMon Dec 13 09:24am
Tēnā tātou e te whānau,
Today is the prize-giving day. We will be finished recording each class prize-giving by 12.25 pm. The children will have a lunch break then have their kai in class.
1.30 pm to 2.40 pm
Due to the weather, we will set up the Tai Roa deck area to give out the reports, presents and kai. The children are organised in family groups. A traffic warden (Matua Jared) will direct you around. One of the staff will bring your child(ren), reports etc out to you. We encourage you to come and pick your tamariki as taking kai on the Stewarts buses is not encouraged.
The links to each classes prize-giving will be posted up on the school app, website and Facebook later today or first thing tomorrow. Please share with the school whānau but avoid reposting on public forums.

UPDATE WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 3RD
Tēnā tātou katoa, he mihi tēnei ki a tātou te whānau whānui o te kura o Matauri.
As mentioned yesterday night, the Far North of Tai Tokerau has been placed in level 3 till 11.59 pm Monday 8th November. As a result, our school is closed Thursday 4th, Friday 5th and Monday 8th, awaiting the review and announcement.
Other local schools are within level 3, and bordering schools have been given level 3 status and are closed. At present, a skeleton bus service is offered for students preparing for year 11-13 exams only.
Teachers would have contacted the parents of students today. We will get hard copies of work to students by tomorrow afternoon through the network we use during lockdowns. Those within level 3 boundaries will have to engage in your class online work organised by your teacher as you can. Should the lockdown extend beyond Monday 8th, we will look to distribute devices as we have done so before. Please contact your student’s teacher by text, email or phone regarding your students learning between the hours of 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. Please contact me by email if you need further information.
Remember, any updated school information will be available on our school Facebook, school app and school website matauribay.school.nz.
We ask that you stay home, stay safe and continue keeping your whānau and other whānau safe.
Mauri ora ki a tātou
